About The Invisible Llama

This is a fan site. One fan built it and runs it. It has nothing to do with Frank, his management or his labels, and nothing here is for sale.

I wanted one place to look things up. When was that show? What did he play? Which pressing is that? So it's grown into 3,180 shows from Frank's own list, the setlists, the records, the posters, the interviews, and Frank explaining his songs.

I try hard to get it right. Everything on here comes from somewhere I can point to, usually Frank's own site or the original article. If I couldn't check something, I left it out.

Where It All Comes From

  • Shows and show numbers come from Frank's own list, the basic archive on frank-turner.com.
  • Setlists come from setlist.fm, plus songs we know from fan videos on the Frank Turner Fan Archive. Those lists are marked partial.
  • Records and pressings come from Wikipedia, Discogs, MusicBrainz and frank-turner.com.
  • Tour posters come from Expresso Beans, PosterDrops, the old GigPosters.com (through the Internet Archive), the artists' own shops and Frank's store.
  • Press, radio and podcasts link to the originals. If one has disappeared, the link goes to an Internet Archive copy.

FAQ

Why "The Invisible Llama"?

It's a misheard lyric. In Reasons Not to Be an Idiot, Frank sings "invisible armour", but it always sounded to me like "invisible llama". Once you hear it, you can't unhear it.

Is This Frank's Official Site?

Nope, just a fan site. His official one is frank-turner.com.

Where Do the Show Numbers Come from?

From Frank's own numbered list on frank-turner.com. I don't renumber anything.

Why Is a Setlist Missing, or Marked Partial?

The setlists are whatever fans logged on setlist.fm, and lots of shows (the early ones especially) never got logged. If we only know a few songs from fan videos, the list says partial. It's also why the song counts are "at least" numbers.

I Spotted a Mistake, or I Have a Setlist You're Missing. How Do I Tell You?

Email hello@theinvisiblellama.com. Tell me the show or the page, and where the right info comes from if you can. Adding the setlist to setlist.fm helps too.

Do I Need an Account?

No. You can browse everything and even tick off shows without one; they just stay in that browser. An account (email and password, that's it) keeps them on all your devices and gets you on the leaderboards if you want. It's on Me & My Stats.

What's Public, and How Do I Delete My Account?

Your shows and records are private unless you tick the leaderboards box. To wipe everything, log in and hit Delete my account on Me & My Stats. More on the privacy page.

Can I Send in Photos, Videos or Posters?

Please do! Use Contribute, the guestbook or the Tour Posters page, and pick the show it's from. I look at everything before it goes up. Your name on it is up to you.

Why Don't the Tour Posters Have Pictures?

The art belongs to the artists, so I don't copy it off other sites. The pictures have to come from people who own one. Got one on your wall? Find it in the list and hit I Have This One.

Can I Put the Site on My Phone?

Yes. Add it to your home screen (on an iPhone it's Share, then Add to Home Screen). It opens like an app, and the setlists still work with no signal, which is handy at a gig.

Is Frank Still Touring?

For now. He's said Lost Evenings X at the OVO Arena Wembley, 4–7 November 2027, will be his last shows for the foreseeable future (NME). There's a countdown on Lost Evenings.
