Privacy

The Invisible Llama is a fan site run by one fan. It has no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and nothing you do here is sold or shared for marketing. This page says what is stored, who can see it, and how to get it deleted.

Without an Account

You can use the whole site without signing up. If you tick shows or records while logged out, they're saved only in your own browser (its local storage) and never sent to us.

With an Account

Accounts need only an email address and a password. Accounts are run on Supabase, with the data held in its US West (Oregon) region. We store:

  • your email address, used only to log you in and for sign-up and password-reset emails;
  • your password, which Supabase keeps scrambled (hashed), so nobody, us included, can read it;
  • your username, the shows you tick, and the records you own;
  • anything you sign in the guestbook and any photos or video links you send in, with the credit you choose.

Your login is kept in your browser so you stay signed in. That's the only thing the site saves on your device for accounts.

Who Can See It

  • Private by default: your email, and your shows and records. Only you can see them.
  • Public only if you choose: tick "show me on the leaderboards" and your username, the shows you've ticked and the records you own appear on the leaderboards. Untick it any time to go private again.
  • Public: guestbook entries, as you wrote them.
  • Public once approved: photos and videos you send in. Each one is checked by hand before it goes up, credited the way you asked, or anonymously.

Other Services the Site Uses

Some pages load things from other companies, which then see your IP address the way any website would:

  • Cloudflare hosts the site;
  • Google Fonts supplies the lettering on every page;
  • YouTube supplies video thumbnails, and videos play from YouTube's privacy-enhanced (youtube-nocookie.com) player only when you press play;
  • Discogs supplies the record-pressing photos in the Discography;
  • OpenStreetMap and cdnjs supply the Show Map;
  • jsDelivr supplies the login code when you use an account.

Links to other sites (setlist.fm, press articles, podcasts, the Internet Archive) are covered by those sites' own policies.

Deleting Your Data

Log in, go to Me & My Stats and use Delete my account. It permanently removes your login and everything saved with it: shows, records, guestbook entries, your profile, and photos you sent that haven't been published yet.

Photos already on the site are copies made when they were approved. To have one taken down, or to ask what we hold about you, contact hello@theinvisiblellama.com.
